I PAINT TO FULFILL MY PASSION FOR THE WORLD AROUND ME, I AM DRAWN TO THE THE ABSTRACT ELEMENTS IN SUBJECTS THAT INSPIRE ME TO PAINT THEM. COLORS OF THE SUNSET OR OF THE BLOOMING FLOWER, BOUNCE OF LIGHT ON THE WATER OR THE MAGNIFICENCE OF THE CITY'S SKYLINE, BEAUTY OF HUMAN FACES AND INTRICACIES OF IT'S FORM: THEY ARE INTRIGUING SHAPES, STARTLING CONTRASTS AND BEAUTIFUL LINES THAT CAPTURE MY HEART AND IMAGINATION. EACH ONE HAS A STORY TOO! I PAINT HOW I FEEL IT AND HOPE TO PASS THIS FEELING TO THE VIEWER. I STARTED PAINTING IN WATERCOLOR, TOTALLY TAKEN BY IMMEDIACY OF THE MEDIUM. WATERCOLOR IS STILL MY FIRST LOVE, BUT I EXPLORE OILS, ACRYLICS AND CHARCOAL... EACH OF THEM SUIT DIFFERENT MOODS AND SUBJECTS.
My painting "Morning in the Neighborhood" was on display October-December 2017 at Indianapolis Museum of Art as part of Watercolor Society of Indiana annual juried exhibit.
" Water Break" won "Best of Show" Wilbur Meese Award at Watercolor Society of Indiana 2015 annual exhibit, which was held at Indianapolis Museum of Art, October through December 2015.
In May I had opportunity to paint in Paris again and in June I painted a 20x50 feet backdrop for Bossov Ballet production of Swan Lake in Bangor, Maine.
